The Wisconsin Rapids City Times is a community publication formed by its publisher, Multi Media Channels. The newspaper publishing company found its genesis in Denmark, WI, in 1953 and expanded into other markets with community publications under the leadership of founder, Frank Wood. The company grew to 37 print publications before selling all but two in 2004. In December 2012, the company purchased a group of about a dozen publications from Journal Community Publishing Group. From that group, the Wisconsin Rapids City Times was developed with a commitment to providing “hyper-local” news.

Today, the publication continues to grow and work toward providing more and more community resources. The move to the chamber building will allow the publication to better serve the community and the organizations that serve it.
