Could you have diabetes or pre-diabetes and not know it? Symptoms often develop slowly and can be subtle. And many people have no symptoms at all.

Aspirus invites all ladies to learn more about diabetes and pre-diabetes at the free Aspiring Women ladies’ night out, “Dodging Diabetes.” The Certified Diabetes Educators from Aspirus Riveview’s Diabetes & Nutrition Center will discuss:

    ·         The difference between diabetes and pre-diabetes

    ·         What puts you at risk of pre-diabetes

    ·         Strategies for avoiding pre-diabetes

    ·         Eating and exercise habits to optimize your health

    Ladies will also enjoy:

    ·         Delicious diabetes-dodging appetizers samples and recipes

    ·         Entertainment by the Aspiring Acapella

    ·         An Aspiring Women gift

    ·         Door prizes

“Dodging Diabetes ” will be held Tuesday, December 11, from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Hotel Mead in Wisconsin Rapids. Attendance is free with a suggested donation of a new, unwrapped toy for a child age 6-14 for the Wisconsin Rapids Toys for Tots program.
