WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Some symptoms can quickly go from “nothing to worry about” tosomething very serious. How do you know when to seek prompt medical attention?
Aspirus invites all ladies to “Don’t Take a Turn for the Worse,” a free Aspiring Women ladies’ night out at the Hotel Mead in Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday, August 20, from 5:30 to 7 pm.
Dr. Thomas Voelker, Aspirus Riverview Chief Medical Officer, will describe some of the most dangerous infections, including sepsis, MRSA, C. diff and others. He will also discuss which symptoms should never be ignored. In addition, Rebecca Phillip, Aspirus Riverview Director of Pharmacy, will explain the hazards of antibiotic overuse and what can be done to prevent this growing danger.
Ladies will have the opportunity to ask questions, enjoy live music by the Aspiring Acapella, sample immune-boosting appetizers, win door prizes, and take home recipes and an Aspiring Women gift.
Attendance is free with a suggested donation of disinfectant spray or wipes for The Family Center in Wisconsin Rapids.
