WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI – Donations are now being taken for Stuff the Bus. Community members can help out by donating and by volunteering!
STUFF THE BUS
For anyone who is interested in contributing to children in our community, donations are being accepted to gather school supplies for families with a financial need. Any youth 4k to 12th grade attending public or private schools in south Wood County, are able to participate in this opportunity. Donations can be brought to Lunch by the River on August 1st, from 11:30am-1pm, any of our collection sites or a monetary donation can be made as well. Volunteers are needed! This is a great way for anyone looking to get involved in the community, but may only have a few hours. STUFF THE DESK
Any family that is in financial need is able to register for Stuff the Desk. To register, please complete at application online at: www.uwswac.org; or call 2-1-1 (or 877-947-2211) Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm to register over the phone. Once you are registered, you will be mailed a post card as a reminder of your chosen pick up time. School supplies will be distributed at Lincoln High School on August 16th, from 3pm-6pm and August 17th, from 8:30am-10:30am. Last year, Stuff the Bus and Stuff the Desk provided school supplies to 832 children in our community! Help us make sure every student here in south Wood County starts the school year off on the right track!

About the Stuff the School Bus/Stuff the Desk Committee
Stuff the School Bus is a collaborative effort of several local non-profit, government and school agencies. Every year, the Stuff the School Bus/Stuff the Desk Committee asks the community to stuff a school bus with donations of school supplies. The event is held during Lunch by the River. Later, the donated school supplies are distributed to local students in need during the Stuff the Desk event. All families who are in financial need are eligible.
