    Local Chamber to Host How-To Video Mini Series for Skill Development
    July 28, 2019, Wisconsin Rapids, WI – The Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with Mid-State Technical College and Marshfield Clinic to host a How-To Video Mini Series.

    The Chamber will be holding virtual videos to help those looking to advance some of their job skills. This Mini-Series will be presented live on Wednesdays at 7 AM starting August 5th and concluding the final session on September 2nd. This is just in time to put the Mini Series to use for the Employment and Resource Fair held at East Junior High School. Each session will have a new topic.
    • August 5th - Resume Writing
    • August 12th - Interviewing
    • August 19th - Job Searching
    • August 26th - Mental Health and Wellness
    • September 2nd - Using Social Media Resources
    There is no fee to attend and they are open to the public. Attendees can join all or individual sessions. The video recordings will be available online after the session on social media and the Chamber’s website. Sessions are led by experts in their industries from Mid-State Technical College and Marshfield Clinic.

    “These short videos were created as a helpful resource for individuals seeking and preparing for a new career. We know career transition can be confusing and often stressful so having access to these videos will help guide the way”, said Vice President of Mid-State Workforce Development and Community Relations, Dr. Bobbi Damrow. “It is our hope that individuals changing careers will find their future right here in the area.”
