WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI – United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties’ campaign is in full swing.  If you haven’t made your donation yet, we have a fun way to accomplish that!

The WFHR Radiothon will be Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 9am – 10am. During the Radiothon, United Way staff and volunteers will be in the studio during the “Morning Show” talking about all of the work United Way is doing to change and strengthen lives in our community. This is also an opportunity for anybody to call and make a donation to United Way.  Your donation can even be announced LIVE on the air waves!  This is a perfect opportunity to show the community that you care; or even make a donation in the name of a loved one (children, grandchildren, in honor of a birthday or anniversary, etc.).

Participating is simple.  Call the WFHR station at 715-424-1300 and speak to a Radiothon operator.  We will take down your donation amount and address so we can send you an invoice.  You will also have the opportunity to let us know if you’d like your donation announced on the air; and if so, would you like it to be anonymous, first name only, or in honor of someone else.

    About the $1,000 Sweepstakes

Radiothon is also the perfect time to remind everybody that the deadline to make a donation to United Way and qualify for the $1,000 Sweepstakes is November 22, 2019.  Anyone who pledges an undesignated donation of $1.00 per week ($52.00 per year) receives 50 chances to win one of five $1,000 cash prizes.  Increase your prior donation of $52.00 or more by $26.00 or more and double your chances to 100!
