• United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties to Honor Outstanding Donors and Volunteers at Thank You Celebration

    WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI – On Wednesday, January 9, 2019 United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties will be recognizing donors and volunteers at its Thank You and Recognition Celebration at Great Expectations from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.


    The evening will begin with appetizers and a cash bar; and the awards presentation will begin at 5:00pm. 


    Some of the donors that will be recognized include Leadership Givers and Loyal Contributors.  Additionally, companies and organizations who had exceptional United Way campaigns in 2018 – which earned them special recognition – will receive award certificates. 


    Every year, United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties awards the following:

    ·       The Per Capita Award - given out to employers with at least five employees and has per capita giving of at least $70

    ·       The Participation Award - given out to employers that has a minimum of $50 per capita giving and at least 85% participation

    ·       The Community Service Award - given to employers that had a 10% increase in giving and 75% participation


    Anyone who made a donation to – or volunteered for – United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties are welcome to join us at the Thank You and Recognition Celebration!  Registration is not necessary and the event is free thanks to our sponsors.  Great Expectations is located at 3551 Plover Rd., Wisconsin Rapids.
