Name: TAKE3: Where Rock Meets Bach!
    Date: March 9, 2023
    Time: 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM CST
    Event Description:
TAKE3: Where Rock Meets Bach With a flair for the wild and unexpected, the genre-defying trio, TAKE3, brings the refinement of a rigorous classical music background and infuses it with rock-star charisma. With training at the world’s top conservatories, TAKE3, created by violinist/vocalist Lindsay Deutsch (Yanni’s featured violin soloist, with whom she has toured throughout most of the seven continents), alongside cello and piano, are creating some of the most exciting and refreshing pop/rock/classical fusion music anywhere in the world. Whether they are rockin’ the Bach or are classically infusing the favorites of the Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or Coldplay, TAKE3 are nothing short of exhilarating. The trio electrifies audiences with a broad musical style including songs such as America, Hallelujah, Stand By Me, Moonlight Sonata, Ode to Joy, Unchained Melody, Hound Dog, and What a Wonderful Life, to name a few. Check them out at www.take3music.com. Kathy Soroka, Senior Executive at New York Philharmonic, described a recent performance: “Superlatives seem inadequate to describe TAKE3 trio’s performance…magnificent, deeply moving, joyous showmanship, simply awesome. Their rendition of Hallelujah moved nearly everyone to tears…the most beautiful arrangement ever. A night to be remembered…it was a privilege to have them rock our souls!” The Arts Council of South Wood County is presenting TAKE3 on Thursday, March 9, at 7:30 p.m., at the Performing Arts Center of Wisconsin Rapids.
