WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI – Thanks to 400 volunteers, 70 yards were raked during United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties Day of Caring on Saturday, October 22nd! This annual event matches teams of volunteers to local elderly and disabled residents who need help with their yards before winter.
“I want to thank each and every volunteer who came out and raked for Day of Caring. This yearly event was such a success because of the 400 people who took time out of their busy weekend to help others. I could not have asked for better volunteers or weather!” said Day of Caring Coordinator Amy Fluno.
