Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Hosts 21st Annual Downtown Grand Affair
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI – The Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce hosted their 21st Annual Downtown Grand Affair on Sunday, September 12th. The treasured community event included an afternoon of food, shopping, and a car show on West Grand Avenue.
“Even with a little rain, we were fortunate to have a very enthusiastic crowd,” said Hannah Ashbeck, Events & Marketing Director at the Heart of Wisconsin. “Creepers Car Club had their highest number of registrants to date, and that was incredible to see.”
With classic cars sprawling across the bridge, vendors both locally and from around the state lined the sidewalks of West Grand Avenue and the surrounding streets. Shoppers had the opportunity to purchase unique one-of-a-kind items from crafters, along with their favorite products from direct sellers.
The event also offered a variety of food including Jamaican cuisine, tacos, wraps, Chicago dogs, and more! “Many of our food vendors sold out by the end of the day, which is a great sign of success,” stated Ashbeck. Grand Affair hosted over 75 vendors at this year’s event.
“It’s an honor to showcase local assets and amenities in the community as it aligns with our mission to enhance quality of life,” commented Angel Whitehead, President of the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce. “We certainly could not do it alone and would like to give a special thank you to our Autumn Sponsors: ERCO Worldwide, Enbridge, the Wisconsin Rapids City Times/Buyer’s Guide, and Ho-Chunk Gaming – Nekoosa.”
The Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce would also like to thank the City of Wisconsin Rapids for their partnership, Crockett Septic, and all those who participated as a guest, vendor, volunteer, and sponsor. Next year’s 22nd Annual Downtown Grand Affair will be held on Sunday, September 11th, 2022.
