[WISCONSIN RAPIDS] 5/14/2021 – Behind the Blue Doors of the Boys & Girls Club of the
Wisconsin Rapids Area is the opportunity for great futures for local youth. The Club kicked off their
spring campaign “The Power of the Blue Door”, which will showcase the opportunities and programs
the Club provides. Their goal is to raise $100,000. Each gift donated for the campaign will be matched by an anonymous donor, dollar for dollar up to $10,000.
The Blue Door logo is a visual representation of the great futures for local youth that lie behind the
Boys & Girls Club doors. The Door represents opportunity. It is not only the door to a Club, it is the
door to a great future. The Club is a place where youth have access to academic support,
enriching programs, healthy meals, and adult role models to help them become healthy productive leaders.
“The Wisconsin Rapids Boys & Girls Club is doing an unbelievable job in providing healthy snacks,
healthy meals, homework help, and even rides to and from school to over 150 kids every single day.
That really speaks to the Power of the Blue Door, which is opportunity and a positive experience.
I personally want to thank the Boys & Girls Club for all they do, re-investing back in to
the community and the young people of the Wisconsin Rapids area.” said Vince Biegel,
Wisconsin Rapids native and Miami Dolphins linebacker.
