Mid-State Technical College has awarded its 2023 Regional FFA Career Development Events (CDE) Chapter of Excellence Award to the Stanley-Boyd FFA chapter. Four Mid-State Technical College students and staff members were recognized at this year’s annual Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference held April 26 – 30 in Anaheim, Calif. Mid-State Technical College has awarded a $5,000 scholarship to Marshfield High School graduating senior Claire Pearce. The “Big Decision Scholarship” was created as a limited-time opportunity for 2023 high school seniors undecided on their path after graduation to help make the decision easier. The scholarship was awarded to one student and will be divided across four semesters: $1,250 each for fall 2023, spring 2024, fall 2024 and spring 2025. Mid-State Technical College honored its spring 2023 paramedic students who have completed their core courses in a special May 17 ceremony on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus. The 17 students have met the state of Wisconsin licensing requirements and are eligible to participate in the National Registry examination required to practice as a paramedic.
